Nuvo

NuVo’s speciality is sound. Very high quality audio from six sound sources to up to eight listening zones around the house and garden. Each zone responds to an individual command, sourced from broadcast transmissions (AM/FM and DAB), PC, a hard disc music library, a wireless iPod dock and more. Handset remotes and touch pad wall mounted controls make the search for the desired music or programme deceptively easy.

The company also manufactures superbly designed speakers to suit a variety of environments: in walls, ceilings and outdoors. The design is about as understated as it could be: the richness of the sound fills the air without drawing attention to its source. This notion is carried to its natural conclusion with a rock that masquerades as a speaker. Place a couple amongst the flowers and the music magics from nowhere!

Crestron

Crestron manufacture the highly sophisticated components at the heart of an automated home: amplifiers, audio and video sources, switchers and much more. Everything, in fact, that controls the entertainment systems, lighting, security, curtains, blinds, heating and cooling. Almost all of this wizardry is discreetly stored out of sight so that all you see are the touch panels, keypads or remote controls.

The beauty is that the one integrated system can multitask to provide every room in the house (the garden, too) with its own independently controlled ambience and entertainment. Despite the complexity required of such versatility, the system is elegantly simple to use. Even your Gran can get the hang of it!

Denon

This hundred-year old pioneering company has a history to be proud of. It calls it A Legacy of Firsts: the world’s first professional disc recorder (1939), the first PCM recorder, the basis of today’s CD format (1970), the first domestic CD player (1982) and, more recently, the first Dolby Digital Decoder to provide multi-channel sound in home cinemas.

Products include a host of audio-visual and hi-fi components to keep pace with the new technologies, many of which were developed by Denon itself. Its innovations have led to the development of entirely new product categories with new ways of enjoying music, movies and innovative solutions for quality home entertainment. Its philosophy is simple: to deliver exactly what the original artist intended, a superior audio and video experience.

Aquavision

Aquavision has mastered the technology of building television into a wet or particularly dusty environment. Incorporating state-of-the-art screens that are waterproof and electrically safe, the units can be installed in bathrooms, shower wetrooms, saunas, kitchens, by the pool or in garden environments. Special coating prevents misting up in humid conditions or freezing in an icy ambience. All the TV sets come with a floating splashproof remote control.

An ingenious innovation offers a TV screen built into a mirrored surface. Almost undetectable when switched off and radiant when on, these products have become highly desirable vanity products.

With a standard product range of 5 screen sizes from 17” to 40” and 3 glass finishes, plus the ability to build bespoke systems, this is most comprehensive range of bathroom televisions on the market.

Panasonic

The Panasonic Corporation is one of the world’s largest electronic manufacturers. Its brand, carried by millions of home appliances and components, is respected everywhere. Key to its marketing success following its founding in 1918 was a determination to make its products contribute to the well being of all people around the globe. Today, that heritage has adapted to suit a green society. Hence its slogan: ideas for life.

Innovation has been at the heart of the company’s growth. Over 680 subsidiaries produce a wide variety of audio visual products and information/communication equipment. Its latest breakthrough has been in 3D television including the world’s biggest screen, the full HD 3D plasma 150” display, equivalent to nine 50” screens. Whilst these have obvious relevance to entertainment, they will also be used in corporate environments such as showroom demonstrations, property planning proposals, teaching hospitals and others.

Bowers & Wilkins

Passion, purpose and years of research have made Bowers and Wilkins speakers and sound systems the ‘best that money can buy’. It is true to say that the company understands sound better than anyone else. For them, there is a distinctive difference between hi-fi and cinematic sound. Hi-fi aims to record nothing more nor less than the original performance; cinematic sound brings layers of recorded sound effects to give an illusion of reality.

Such is its dedication to sound reproduction that B&W have become the first choice of professionals in music and sound engineering since the 1980’s. Behind the innovation is the Steyning Research Establishment, known the world over as the University of Sound. Hand-in-hand with the sound quality is the design of the B&W range of products from the Zepplin i-pod dock to the bespoke sound system integrated into the stylish lines of the Jaguar XF.

JVC

The D-ILA Device Driver and Wire Gird have been redesigned to reach the purest black level ever, as well as the smoothest gradation of colours. Using a combination of a new Short-Arc High Efficiency UHP Lamp with a 16 Step Lens Aperture (DLA-X3) and 16 Step Lens and Lamp Double Aperture (DLA-X7 and DLA-X9), the native contrast ratio is significantly increased.

The brightness has also been increased to an incredible 1,300 ANSI lumens. In addition, Adobe RGB, DCI and sRGB colour profiles allow more accurate colours. Plus, JVC’s double-speed Clear Motion Drive has been further improved to reduce motion blur, with the choice of Frame Interpolation and Black Frame Insertion.

Stealth Acoustics

As an outgrowth of needing a true-sounding, full-range invisible speaker solution and finding none up to our expectations, we went into our fabrication shops and began a 2-year R&D cycle to develop our first invisible speaker which we debuted in 2003 to accolades from CEDIA show attendees. Since then we have constantly continued to improve our sound quality, form factoring and ease of installation, culminating - at least for now - in our stunning LR series of invisible speakers and subwoofers. This continuous improvement mindset has brought us many past awards from CEDIA Lifestyles (AX3 model), Residential Systems’ RESI award (B1630 subwoofer) and the CE TechHome Mark of Excellence Award (FX8 model). Today we not only offer the best and most reliable invisible speakers, but also amplification and DSP-based processing all to create a “total systems approach” to totally invisible sound. No other invisible speaker manufacturer has our depth of product offerings or in-field project experience towards solving the invisible speaker performance equation.
